The feel of the taproom seems a little too polished for a hard drinking, blue-collared city like West Allis, but I have learned in my time here is that West Allions (or is it West Allians?) will drink. Westallion rests on the north side of the trains tracks, and is a short walk from The Drunk Uncle. Parking is limited to the street. Inside, there is comfortable furniture to sit on, somewhat darkly lit interior with bright light illuminating the walls.
Seven different beers on-tap, with a few varieties being sold to-go in bottles. Westallion's quirk with beer is their lean on malty styles. No Pale Ales, no IPA's, but there is Wee Heavy, Vienna Lager, Kolsch, and a few assortments of flavored stouts. I found West Allis' answer to Riverwest Stein in the category of Vienna Lager at this brewery, and the Wee Heavy being mild. I have noticed that the taps do change, and I'd love to see what comes next, as I'll be back.
