Pours hazy gold color with a 2 finger foamy off white head that was packed with tiny bubbles, dissipating very slowly and leaving really good spotty foamy lacing.
Smells of orange peel, caramel, toasted grains, buttered biscuit, hay, light grapefruit, sweet malt, graham cracker and lemon zest. Not a West Coast IPA nose, but nice for a malty English IPA.
Tastes like it smells with some more earthy notes, peppery spices, citrus zest and piney notes.
Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with mild carbonation, a very light bitterness and a sweet aftertaste that has mostly biscuit and bread crust. The mild sweetness hides the ABV well.
Can states Whaleback West Coast IPA, 7.4% ABV - this is not the "White" IPA, but I listed it here anyway. "Classic and Crisp - and ooh so piney. Polished and precise with a lush and juicy citric finish." Overall a nice IPA if it's English style, as it's not a dank West Coast style in my view.
