L - 2.5 finger dense bright white head atop a gloomy orange body.
S - meat, cheese. This smells like food!
T - holy hell this is weird. Garlic, onions, cheese, brisket, hickory. This reminds me a ton of those hickory sticks snacks. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. No booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - this is a “savory ipa” if there ever was one. Would pair perfectly with barbecue.

12 ounce can - $2.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a turbid, orange-yellow body with a tall, near-white head. Good lacing on the descent.
Smell: Tropical fruits and florals, citrus (orange-lemon), white melon, a little orchard fruit. A touch of wheat and a schmear of blonde roux.
Taste: Softly sweet, tropical-citrusy fruitiness, tilted towards passion fruit but also peach juice, lychee, rockmelon and orange. Very low bitterness. Like the nose, has a very faint, percevied pastey hint about it. No more than a small amount of alcohol culminating on the fruity, semi-dry finish with a lingering impression of juice.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus, fluffy body. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: The hops feel brighter, the sweetness seems more subdued and the alcohol component seems diminished. It's certainly a mite bit better than the, in my opinion, DOA inaugural member of Alpha Abstraction series.

12oz can from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 13.99/ 6 pack. No canning date but this has just recently hit the shelves. Served in a Barrel and Barley teku. Enjoyed 8/8/18.
Pours a hazy dull orange with just over two fingers of fluffy white head. The bubbles recede to a small central island, rough crown and some nice webs of lace.
Citrusy aromas of orange, grapefruit, honeydew, vague berries and a little cake.
Juicy, resinous flavors. Mandarin, grapefruit, lemon, cantaloupe, faint grass a littl bit of berry and some seeet malt hanging out in the background. There is almost no perceivable alcohol so it can be tough not to chug down this delicious nectar.
Oily medium body with slight carbonation. Mildly bitter aftertaste with notes of citrus and melon.
For my tastes Wild Leap is three for three in outstanding DIPAs. This second installment in their Alpha Abstraction series is even better than the first and has me excited to see what this relatively new brewery has in store for the future.
