Pours a hazy orange with soft, supple head.
Smell is juicy, fruity and a bit floral. Notes of apricot, apricot marmalade, citrus and hints of yeast, apples and melon.
taste is fruity and juicy with a slight estery hint. Notes of citrus, melon and some florals with a solid bitterness. Well balanced and rich.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and pilowy, with good carbonation.
Overall, a very nice DIPA, balanced but with some bite.

One of the smoothest in the series, possibly the smoothest but hard to recall older versions like 5 and 6. It has that classic Hazy NEIPA look and is pretty much opaque. Smell is pleasant and a touch floral to me. Taste is immediately sweet, but hops sneak in after a few seconds. Has a pretty clean finish for a NEIPA with little to no aftertaste I can discern. LOVE the feel of almost all of the Alphas (except 10). Creamy and full beer.

This is just a lush double IPA. Beautiful look with light orange haze, dense with lasting lacing. The bouquet is redolent overripe fruit in the melon family: cantaloupe & honeydew with a few citrus notes hiding in there as well. Those melons are on the palate too with some tropical fruit notes of guava and mango to go along. Not very piney for a 2x IPA and oddly enough though not unpleasant is the presence of heavy malt. Finishes rich, full bodied and creamy.
