Look: clear golden, big soapy off white head. Messy, clingy lacing.
Smell: malty and piney.
Taste: the nose in reverse. Pine dominates, with some malt. Bitter finish softened by the strong malt base.

Definitely a throwback DIPA. Nice pine and grapefruit aroma and flavor.Quite bitter for an IPA nowadays and I am sure many will not be able to handle this beast. No sign of alcohol despite its intimidating ABV. Solid body and carbonation.

Awesome ‘re’ creation of the old school west cost DIPA ... memories of Maharajah flooding back from 10-12 years ago... caramel malt balanced by piney hops ... a slight crackery chew common to the new age pale ales slipped in. Not a beer for many of the current day IPA fans, this is a throw back for the folks that fell in love with craft beers a decade ago.
