Ink black pour and body; opaque; thin, light brown head that fades to a wispy ring in the glass. Pleasant nose; dark chocolate with a note of barrel wood and whiskey; slightly charred grain; a hint of cherry. Dark, heavy sweetness; dark pitted fruit and bourbon; dark chocolate and cocoa; very little bitterness. Heavy body; dense and silky; smooth and oily; alcohol warmth.
In essence, this beer comes across as rich and decadent with a nice bourbon edge.
Pouring temperature: 46 °F; bottling info: BOTTLE NUMBER: 2558 OF 1200; ABV: 13.7%; MONTHS AGED: 13; BEER STYLE: Anniversary Stout

An Anniversary gift from Wild Leap to us. Pours like a thinner beer than it actually is, cola colors, minimal head and lacing. Notes of barrel, roasted dark malt, cocoa, and vanilla. Woody bourbon barrel notes are the most prevalent on the taste, sweet chocolate and vanilla undercurrent. Thick, slightly oily feel, big and bold, and it has as strong body warming booziness as any beer I’ve had in awhile. Happy Anniversary, Wild Leap.
