This beer pours a hazy golden color with s fairly large head that goes to lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit & sweetness as is taste with a creamy mouthfeel and almost no bitterness. BOD 6-29-2024. Tavour

Oops, I definitely sat on this one for too long. I haven’t had anything from Wild Leap yet so this will probably be a rather disappointing first look at them with a nearly 9 month old DIPA. To be fair it also came in a Tavour box like 2 or 3 months ago so I never had this when it was fresh. Oh well, let’s get into it
Pours a hazy orange gold with a finger of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is actually still pretty solid if not a bit subdued. I’m picking up on aromas of mango skin, dried apricot, bready malt, orange marmalade, earthy hops, guava, and light honey
Even in taste this still isn’t bad my any means, but it’s not like I’m tasting the shell of what used to be an amazing beer either. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting mango skin, pineapple, doughy malt, orange zest, earthy hops, light grass, guava, and black tea. The swallow brings notes of orange marmalade, bready malt, earthy hops, guava, mango skin, weed, lemon zest, and grass
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes a tad sticky but dries out over time
Obviously this isn’t at its peak, but I have a hard time imagining it was anything more than average when fresh. Still, a solid beer

A: Glowing lemon yellow with 1-2 finger rocky, frothy white head with good retention and sticky lacing.
S: Not jumping out of the glass but herbal and dank with juicy tropical fruit like guava and pineapple with low esters
T: Flavor has much more intensity with a lime and floral first note that dissipates to more herbal and dank weed notes and tropical fruit pineapple, guava, and some coconut in the late palate. Esters are low and bitterness is moderate.
M: Easy to drink with soft low-medium body and slightly dry finish.
O: AA 27 is flavorful and drinkable - keep following this fun series.
