Born on 02/20/25. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Bright lemon yellow with moderate haze and 2-3 finger stark white head with excellent retention and multiple bands of sticky lacing.
S: Aroma is very unique and interesting with cherry, berry, peach, orange, lemongrass, lemon Pledge, and pine. There is an aroma here that is prominent but I cannot place it now.
T: Flavor is also unique with a lot of green fruit, cherry-berry, concentrated orange, evergreen/pine like the aroma of chewing tobacco, a very savory clove and allspice bread, black tea, lemongrass with strong herbal notes in the aftertaste. Bitterness is low. Esters are low and fruity.
M: Feel is dangerous with light-medium body, high carbonation, and super dry.
O: Wild Leap AA Vol 28 is unique and has very interesting flavors without being abrasive. It’s not a flavor combo I would reach for with regularity but as a one-off, this is a very interesting beer. Thanks to my good friend Erinn for lugging it from ATL.
