The Celis Beer Hall Vienna Lager is a copper coloured Festbier style lager brewed with a special Viennese malt and noble German and American hops. It has a sweet, breasy flavour and a mild finish. At 6% ABV, it's big enough to make you say Gemutlichheit!

Starts light and boozy on front of tongue. As it travels back, the sweetness becomes more and more apparent. The resulting mouthfeel it is...heavy.

It retains clear lager tastes. Not really getting Vienna Lager, specifically. Decent nonetheless.

The other clear aspect is the sweetness. To me this was sweeter than I'd expect a Vienna Lager to be, or even a Marzen. Since Marzen is the sweetest lager I commonly know, I don't know what to classify this beer as.

Had on draught/draft/tap at the brewery.
Would give in another try on a later visit.

CAN:

Overly sweet, with off-putting notes of cough syrup. Rather horrid, to be honest.
