On tap at the brewpub. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a transparent golden color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that left no lacing. The smell had a sweet corn with a light bitter grassy hops underneath. The taste was sweet and then bitter leading into a dry aftertaste and a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a clear sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style as there was enough harshness without the bitterness leading it astray. Overall, as a golden ale it works. It’s nothing over the top but the second one I had went well with the cheesy brisket.
