This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a light amber color with some transparency about it. Some carbonation was seen rising at a moderate pace. Slight film of a little white foamy head. No lace. The aroma had some toast, white bread, light nuts, strong herbal sweet character, rather earthy and some caramel/toffee malts. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side with a developing herbal sweet to bitter quality. Aftertaste was the same along with the finish. The feel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty nice Irish red ale that I could come back to.
