Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a dark brown almost black color with a cap of a little white foamy head that didn’t leave any lace. The aroma had a sweet roast, light milk chocolate, sweet meat, sweet grains, leather and some earthy hops. The flavor was basically the same. Aftertaste was sweet. Finish was somewhat sticky sweet. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Low carbonation but I didn’t mind. ABV felt fine. Overall, not sure if they dipped some of their BBQ in this beer, but that "sweet meat" aroma did make it a bit different for just a regular stout. Probably my favorite beer by this brewpub.
