Fairly subdued as the style goes. Surprisingly thin bodied, not as muscular as you might expect -- less sweet, less boozy. Big handsome head dissipates quickly, some initial lace, but then just cola dark. Roasty malt nose, sweet, a whiff of dark fruit. Malt dominates the flavour of the beer, dark fruit in behind. Rather easy drinking because its not as edgy as other like brews. An intro to the style, maybe, for the timid.
