I visited The Brew right down on the main drag of Sliema by the waterfront last weekend. I was kind of surprised to see an actual brewery where you find all kinds of night clubs and restaurants and stuff, but I was super pleased to see that they've got the whole brewing facility on display down there! It's got kind of an English pub vibe with a little bit of cocktail bar thrown in, and a big smoker's section up on the sidewalk patio. The service was friendly but very European -- Americans will find they need to be proactive to get service. I will say that one nice thing about its Mediterranean attitude is that they are open until 2 AM every day!
Their menu had 9 beers, though one was sold out, so they had 8 of their beers on tap, plus cocktails and whatnot. Styles included a couple IPAs, a couple lagers, a German porter, golden ale, a smoked wheat beer, and a shandy. Most of the beers were of rather modest ABV, befitting the hot Mediterranean climate. Overall the quality was decent, though I think the lagers are going to be your best bet.

This is actually a brew-pub and restaurant. It is located on the Strand and near a bunch of other bars/restaurants so at night they attract a younger crowd.
They have a covered patio that probably seats about 25. Inside are seats for about 50 folks. There is a bar but like a lot of places in Malta, no bar stools.
They had 11 House beers. Everything I had was decent with the standouts being their hoppy lager and their Imperial stout. They offer a NA beer and probably 4 IPAs.
The food is decent with good appetizers (bacon wrapped chicken nuggets and their wings). Main dishes are also good. Note they offer some really good specials like all you can eat wings or ribs for 20 euro but ask when you arrive as the specials only apply if you eat inside...
The service is friendly and at Mediterranean speed. We got to meet the brewer who took us on a tour of the brewing area.
Well worth a stop if you are in Sliema.
