The place is dark and noisy with wood floors and tables throughout. It's a vast space with the bar over there without any separation from the bullpen. Windows on three sides and a little patio out front.
What you notice coming in the door is the overpowering smell of garlic. The "signature" food item is garlic fries and they must sell a lot of them, but they don't seem to have vents in the open kitchen. Throbbing sound system adds to the din of many people trying to talk over the thumping.
Beers are pretty good, including the familiar canned varieties. Will be worth stopping to see what they will eventually be brewing here. Menu is basic but interesting with a lot of creative and even unique burgers. Shisito peppers and fried chicken sandwich were OK, mass of limp fries less so. Salads, mac and cheese and ramen. Jackie Chan movies on all the tvs for some reason. There may be some good brews to sample but this is one of the most unpleasant brewpubs I've endured for a dinner hour.

Opened about 3 weeks ago, I recently made my first visit. The decor is attractive, but a bit sterile and non-distinct. The soundtrack is annoying rap music, and several TVs show cheesy kung-fu movies on mute. The quality of beers was typical for Melvin, solidly enjoyable hoppy beers, and a couple token non-hop bombs. There were a few taps of guest beers, but I suspect that'll change once they start brewing onsite.
The service wasn't terrible, but was annoyingly clingy. We couldn't go more than a couple minutes without our conversation being interrupted by someone asking if we were ready for another. FFS, you just brought me this one bro! The selection was wide enough that there should be something for everyone.
Didn't try the food, but it looked good. The food prices were on the high side locally, and there was on burger on the menu that pushed $20. The beer prices were also high locally; most beers are only served in 12oz Tulips (Yay!), but an ImpStout was $9 and ImpIPAs were $6-8.
Overall, the place is sure to be popular with tourists, and a certain segment of locals. worth checking out when you're in town.
