Old world balance with new world hops yield an IPA that should be the best of hop heads worlds Off Square Brewing sees a recipe that brings every hop lover together.
Medium copper, residing on the slight side of amber, Long Day American IPA shines with a lofty eggshell froth and a juicy scent of caramelized citrus, hints of tropical fruit, juiciness of melon and a mild suggestion of stone fruit. Flavors of carmel, nuttiness and light toast suggest a granola flavor while the hops bring a bright tangerine, red grapefruit, mango and apricot fruitiness. Trending herbal and bitter, the late taste is laced with spruce tip, herbal grasses, tea leaf and lemon balm for a hop balanced, bitter finish.
The caramelization of the ale seems to be staling and the hops don't seem slightly misplaced. Long Day is a good beer but misses the mark on greatness.

Mostly clear, golden in color with a white head. No lacing to speak of. Nose is heavy on the hop pine and citrus notes. Taste is same as nose, but I get a hint of smokiness, just a hint nothing too abrasive though. Good amount of bitterness.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pint can on March 22, 2018. Double dry hopped with Citra and Amarillo. This highlights the flavor and aroma of both hops. This beer was originally brewed on the day the clocks are turned back in the fall. Solid.
