Root Down Brewing Co. "Soul Of The Blob"
on tap at the brewery on 2 September 2017
Notes: Hazy, very light pinkish body - unusual, I've never seen a beer quite like it - beneath a short head of bright white that settles steadily leaving only spotty and splashy lacing behind. The aroma is floral, and fruity, mixed with light sweetish malt. The flavor adds some delicate tartness to it, and some soft Belgian yeast phenols like plastic and soft spice. There's some light white wine character to it as well, but no oak. It's only mildly bitter but there's some noticeable in the finish which is dry and lightly spicy. Light bodied and gently crisp. Interesting, refreshing, and remarkably easy to drink.

Blob aged in white wine barrels with hibiscus. Has a tartness to it that Blob does not with a very nice floral note from the hibiscus. Very light and enjoyable.
