Copenhagen 22/6 2020. 33 cl can from Kvickly, Allerød. Orange can with red and green splotches.
Pours hazy, almost luminescent yellow with big extremely bubbly head. Some yeast whirling about. Head disappears after a few seconds leaving what looks like of radioactive soda behind.
Aroma is intense with a medium strong sweet-ish multi fruit juice aroma with a strong acidic sourness lurking. Mango, pear and papaya. Citrus and tart berries. Saline saltiness peeking in.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling - almost fizzy - texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong acerbic sourness and some saltiness chiming in. Aftertaste is sour and salty. Lingers for a while. Dry finish with a light chili burn.
I have not tasted the Mexican snack they try to emulate. But sweet-sour fruit, the chili and especially the saltiness is a fine combination.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a small, fizzy head that soon fades to nothing. Smell has an odd cucumber aroma to it, although some mango is also coming through. Taste is a great balance juicy, somewhat tangy mango, some quite noticeable chili heat that builds up into the aftertaste and medium lactic acidity, giving this a certain citrus note, as well as the merest hint of cucumber for some reason (they also make a cucumber Gose, coincidence?). Finishes with a medium lactic acidity and some mango, as well as a medium/strong chili heat that lingers quite a bit on the tongue long after the swallow. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While I suspect that the chili heat may be a bit much for some here, I personally think that this is quite a nicely balanced Gose with a refreshing, tangy mango character and good acidity, with the spicy chili note fitting in quite well and lending a rather nice kick to this.
