Called 'Imperial Berliner Weisse' style by the brewery.
50cl can, bb in 8m.
Hazy yellow, impressive but fragile foam that disappeared with a hiss after 5 minutes.
Drive-by aroma brings peach to mind appetizingly. Deeper inhale solidifies that with a nod towards the rawer end of fruit maturation. Some apricot as well.
Taste has plentiful stone fruit, combined with a lactic tang and medium plus carbonation. Slightly rounded and creamy feel on the tongue. Some peachy bitterness in the aftertaste. The 6% alcohol is well hidden.
Pleasant but more like a tart fruit drink rather than a more complex, stronger berliner weisse. Kettle soured maybe? The lactic acidity is too simple. The creaminess from 'good chunk of oats and milk sugar'... the right idea but too timidly executed. And calling lactose milk sugar is a marketing ploy of doubtful value.
