Completely unknown. Name mesmerized me: "Dark Chocolate Cherry Truffle". Bought as part of my COVID-19 survival kit.
Poured in my trusty "Seef" tumbler
For a moment during pouring a 1cm, wild red/orange head developed. What remains resembles a glass of coffee. Carbonation brings chunks to the top.
Odour is genuinly strong dark chocolate, some alcohol and some sourness.
Is this beer? It actually tastes like genuine cake. Impressed!
The sweet cake is quickly overrun by a clear lemon sourness. Strange but not unpleasent
Halfway through, the sourness starts to take the upperhand as the sweetness sinks down into sediment.
Aftertaste is sour and bitter. Warm alcohol in the background.
I do not believe this is a Belgian Saison!
