Weakness isn't always a weakness. Case in point, this beer. It's a super strong option for folks seeking hard hitting flavour and pulled ABV punches, hopped in fine balance with the specific demands of a wee IPA, this brew is more in the business of convincing than coercing.

A- This pours out of the can with vigour! The lightly golden/yellow hued ale comes with an incredible amount of frothy white head that is several fingers in thickness right off the get go....I will say that it settles at a nice rate, allowing me to pour more, and a little slower too. It is definitely hazed, which makes it hard to see the carbonation columns rising to the top, but I can tell that there are several of them doing their thing. The lacing is soapy, with many thick patches clinging to the inside of the glass.

S- The aroma is citrus like right off the bat, with grapefruit, tangerine, orange, and lime zests making up the majority of this department. There are yeasty creamy notes about it too, almost like an orange creamsicle....its smells yummy for sure. The finish has a clean, slightly bitter hop presence about it, but it certainly isn't overwhelming. A nice overall aroma here.

T- The flavors follow suit to the aromas quite well, with citrus fruits abound, yeast, cream, malt sweetness and a slightly dessert like character about it. The citrus notes are all well rounded, and would lean towards sweet in my opinion, with juicy flesh like taste exploding on the palate. There is a bit of tart rind like zest to help balance this out, green leafy hop bitterness and a slightly lingering balance on the finish that makes me want to get to the next taste!

M/O- The mouthfeel is somewhere in the light to medium bodied range, which is exactly what I would like in this beer. The carbonation is probably a little too aggressive for my liking, and even after sitting for awhile it is still super bubbly, which I think is a miscalculation on Annexs' part. The alcohol is low and not noticed, while the drinkability factor is very high....I could crush a 4 pack of this nectar over a session without issue. This would pair well with fried or spicy pub fare. Will seek this one out again when at the brewery....hope it is still available!
