We named this beer after Local Memphis Metal band Burn the Witch, and while they rock straight into your ear hole, this beer rocks straight into your mouth hole. Burn the Witch starts off with a mellow roast and rich chocolate notes that glide into a bready-malt character on the finish. Its built to drink easy like a Lager, with all the flavors and characteristics of a darker beer, making it perfect for the unpredictable Memphis fall weather. Our Lawyers asked us to include that No Witches were harmed in the production of this beer.

12oz can. Bottom stamp is '12025'.
Deep brown colored body. One thick finger of light tan head, and this sticks around as a full cap with a climbing ring. Leaves behind jagged horizontal lacing rings.
Aroma of medium roasted malts, chocolate, and a touch of char.
Taste is led by roasted malts, with flavors of chocolate and dark bread. Sweet overall but has a touch of char. The malts mellow a bit in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Smooth texture, with a clean finish. Bitterness is commensurate with the roast level of the malts, with a brief tongue sting with each quaff. Very good carbonation.
Not a complex brew but delivers on what it presents.

On-tap at Central BBQ, Memphis, TN
A: The beer is black when viewed from afar but when held up to a bright light it is clear and very dark red in color. It poured with a quarter finger high light beige head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark malts and hints of cola are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but is a little stronger with flavors of dark malts with notes of cola and malt extracts and hints of roasted malts.
M: It feels nearly light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very malty but is easy to drink and doesn't feel that heavy on the palate.
Serving type: on-tap
