I'm not sure if this is Omission or Refuge but I like the just short of coffee bean dark roast flavor.
12oz draft pour is a clear, yet opaque, body with hints of a ruddy, dark brown at the edge when lit. Unremarkable head, but nice random, chestnut-brown, stepped lacing.
Aroma flirts with roasted coffee beans and that is as close as it gets, thankfully. Flavor matches with the only expression of hops I perceive is an almost hop burn finish.
Feel is a lighter leaning medium with, like I said, almost bitter hop burn finish, if clean.
Overall a nice change of pace.
