A 330ml can with a BB of May 2018, so it's a little out of date. Purchased a while back from Trembling Madness in York. Described on the label as a session strength white IPA; the ingredients include wheat. I don't think this is actually a Belgian IPA but it's rather hard to classify....
A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned. A bright, hazy amber hue with good carbonation and fine suspended sediment. Produces a huge head of fluffy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a persistent surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of grain with hints of bready malt, subtle wheat, earthy yeast, faint citrus peel and a touch of leafiness. The hop profile seems faded but otherwise pretty decent.
T: Tastes of earthy yeast with notes of subtle esters, grainy malt, mild wheat, a hint of breadiness, leafy hops and a twinge of aromatic citrus. A harsh quality lurks in the background. Very dry, followed by a moderate bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with lively carbonation and good body for the strength. Quite astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of earthy yeast, bitter stewed hops and mild grain.
O: An interesting effort that I held onto for too long. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are yeasty and grainy with subtle hop notes. Nice body. Drinkable but the hop character has dissipated. Worth sampling if you can get a fresh one.
