Poured darker than most stouts, got my expectations up. The first sip made me wonder if it was infected or something, almost vinegar like.
Seriously, breweries should plainly label sour beers! Getting one when you expect a malty treat is jarring.
Any ways, once I accepted what I was drinking, it was interesting, not particularly good, but still enjoyable.
The orange and the vanilla were both dominant, there was some stout presence but it was fleeting.
The feel was good, ideal for slow sipping, which was what I did.
OA, glad I didn’t have a 4 pack of it, but happy I got to try it.

Pours a dark brown black with a 1F short lived brown head and negligible lacing.
Smells of roasted malt, coffee and citrus.
Tastes of roasted malt and tart, sour, salty citrus and cherries. There is a mildly bitter alcohol warm finish.
Medium body with almost no carbonation. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel.
This is a very powerful sipper that is sort of the opposite of the current tendency to put out stouts that are canned cupcakes. This one is a big dark boozy fruit sour.
