Immortal Pils is a crushing Bohemian style pilsner with crisp floral flavors. The perfect option when mortal beer just won't do.

Pint can acclimated to 43°F and poured into a pilsner glass.
Pours a clear pineapple yellow with a foamy white 2 finger head, dissipating relatively quickly leaving behind suds.
Initial aroma is cough syrupy, not horrible but not exactly pleasant. Sniffing again I also notice a light sweetness and a lighter maltiness akin to croissant? Agitating reveals a smell that reminds me of balsa wood.
Initial taste is medicinal, followed by lemon juice, followed by more medicine, followed by more lemon, followed by more medicine, followed by more lemon. The medicinal herby taste and lemon are very bold. I think I taste yeast? But to be honest I really am just not sure there's anything else, any small nuances are drowned out. It's just that it's overwhelming. This is not a bad thing, I just pick up on any other qualities so it's hard to evaluate it. I didn't notice any new tastes as it warmed either. To be honest I'm dramatizing the taste past what it is. It tastes fine and I can drink it without issue, it's just that it was a surprise.
Mouthfeel is good, it's more robust than average while still being very crisp. The way it crashes around is nice because it feels like a slightly heavier style but the taste is sharp and it's a nice contrast. The carbonation feels about right as well.
To be fair, I haven't tasted a Czech pilsner before so I have no reference, from the description "crisp floral flavors" I was expecting hoppy and not medicinal herbal, but I don't think I let it influence my judgement I promise.
Won't buy this one again, sorry Styx. Just not my thing, I do really love floral tastes a lot but this one just wasn't tuned to my taste. BUT, that is my personal taste. As far as being a beer that I can review goes: if you enjoy the taste, which you may very well, it's got a great feel. The taste is also done well for what it is.
