Appearance: Pours with a rust-tinged cherry color; the head rises to an inch and fades to a ringlet and archipelago; splashy lacing

Smell: Tart currant dominates the aroma though there is a dose of sweet cherry, as well; oak and vinous tones, too

Taste: The currant and cherry flavors intermingle as the acidity builds; in the middle, the sour currant dominates; oak and vinous tones merge into the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; puckery

Overall: A nice blend of fruit here displays the sweet and tart but like all of the beers in the series, very acetic

Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy ruby hue with a thin pink head that fades to leave thin wisps.

S - Aromas of nice sweeter dark cherries, lightly tart black currants. There is a random vinegar aspect that clashes with the fruit. Decent oaky barrels.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with a fair amount of toasted oak, nice tart black currants nice a bright, good jammy cherry notes, solid acidity and tart cherry notes.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, super acidic and flemmy.

O - Overall this was a rather solid beer. The fruits are pleasant but the oak is a bit too buttery.
