Boysenberry Push Pop is an America Sour Ale brewed with milk sugar and aged in red wine barrels. We then heavily fruited with Boysenberries and added a touch of Blackberries and Ugandan Vanilla. This beer should be enjoyed at around 50-55F to allow the vanilla and wine character to really shine.

Appearance: Pours a strawberry color with a two finger mauve head; decent retention and streaky lacing
Smell: Funky and fruity with boysenberry and faint vanilla tones; quite acetic
Taste: Acetic boysenberry, up front, with some vanilla underneath; fruity, through and through, with some barrel tones and a tart finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; puckery
Overall: This beer is aging nicely though there is more funk in the aroma than on the palate

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy purple red hue with a nice one finger head that fades to leave light lacing and a thin halo.
S - Aromas of sweet red berry notes, little boysenberry tartness. Decent vanilla barrel notes as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice bright red berry notes along with vanilla as well. Good tartness and sweet berries. Solid vanilla.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, creamy, little smooth.
O - Overall this was a rather solid berry wild with nice vanilla notes. Solid beer.

Thanks to rudzud
A large pink-purplish 1/2 finger fluffy creamy head that fades at a slower pace, nice sticky lacing, and decent legs, dark murky purple maroon color
nose plenty of boysenberry and generic dark berry, a bit of a lacto funk and acidity, mild funk generic sourness, fairly bright fruit, a bit of vanilla oak and berry sorbet
Taste brings a fairly sweet syrupy malt, candy fruit, some sour funky fruit, tart boysenberry generic berry and sour acidic bite, quite a bit of acidity, a bit of vanilla oak notes and sorbet like, lactose maybe, a bit raspberry like too, fair acidity, esp lingering with a mild creamy finish
Mouth is med bod, decent fizzy carb, quite a bit of acidity
Overall mixed, some nice notes but also not great

Bottle. Pink head. Raspberry purple color.
Sour and tart. The vanilla and lactose adds some depth and sweetness. Very fruity,
Light bodied. 1/3 of a bottle is plenty as it’s a bit acidic. Nice though.
