Y’all asked for it, Golden Blend is here! Golden blend is our way of showcasing our house cultures. This two barrel blend has been resting away in wine barrels for quite some time. Golden Blend was then bottle conditioned with local wildflower honey from King Cobra Apiary. We can’t wait for y’all to try it.

500 mL bottle. Pours clear golden with a fizzy head. Smell has oak, lactic acidity. Tastes of stone fruit up front, oak behind it, and yogurty tartness in the finish. Medium body and moderately sour. Well carbonated. Pleasant, if pushing just a touch too sour. As it warms, yogurt is all I taste.

Pours a fairly clear light golden color, appropriate white foamy head that quickly recedes. Fantastic funky citrusy aroma - you can smell the sourness. First sip really makes you pucker! Very sour and tart, lemony, tannic, loads of acidity. Dry nice beer, extremely sour, becomes a bit too much by the end of the bottle.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip to a light golden yellow topped by a dense and slightly rocky finger of white head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of some nice pleasant sourness with some wine notes and oak
T: Taste is some fairly bright and clean sourness with some light funk with just a touch of some noble hop. There's some mineralic notes going on as well which make this one really nice. On the swallow there's some more clean sourness with just a hint of funk, more wine barrel, and a little more noble hop.
M: This beer has a mouthfeel that's on the lighter side of medium. Carbonation is effervescent while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer. It has a decent amount of complexity along with a nice sourness throughout that isn't over the top. There are some nice subtle flavors in this beer as well which makes it an interesting drink despite seeming to be pretty straightforward at first glance. Well worth a try if you can get it.
