I don't even know where to begin. This has a brownish-orange, opaque appearance with densely congealed particles, more like a thick syrup than a beer. The carbonation literally took a minute to work its way through and begin building half an inch. Over the next few minutes, the head fell, leaving a dense residue on a Crispy Boi Tulip Glass from Pretentious Glass Company. The effect is far from appealing, however, knowing this is to style, the appearance is actually well done.
The aroma reaches out with dusty marshmallow, followed by coconut and mango. White chocolate follows and warmth adds the smell of Creamsicle.
This thing tastes exactly like what the description on the can says. It is very sweet, however, the tartness keeps it in check. The primary flavors are citrus and mango, with a solid foundation of marshmallow. Pineapple becomes apparent once I thought of it. Does anyone remember an Orange Julius? The finish is mild and quick, reminding one of the light tartness.
It has a full body, very similar to a banana smoothie, with the same texture. It is smooth and thick, with mild alcohol and a light, fizzy carbonation.
Santa's Secret Sauce is clearly a dessert beer. However, it could serve equally well as a Sunday Brunch cocktail. It is very tasty and I really enjoyed it.
