16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours jet black in color with a one-finger creamy khaki head that has good retention before settling into a film floating on top
S- a nice mix of sweet jammy blackberries and charred roasted malt with aromas of chocolate, vanilla cream, anise and cordial syrup
T- sweet and chocolatey up front before giving way to a berry tartness that gives jammy blackberries. Mid-palate gives more chocolate, as well as a creamy vanilla note. The finish gives some bitter charred malt before closing out with more berry tartness, lingers of berries and chocolate
M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a tart finish
