Poured a ruby red copper body with minimal head and lace. Aroma is muted with exception of minor notes of yeast and dark fruits. Candi sugar dominated taste as the beer is overly sweet, almost cloying, in a medium but not too thick to drink sweetness and is aided in flavors by a sturdy malt base (caramel/toffee notes) and some raisin/prune dark fruits. The booze is kept lower which is nice and there is something to build on but it's just too sugary sweet to have balance and be something that I could want again.
