L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a medium brown color and a cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, off white, fairly long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A bracing aroma of hops, malt, caramel, booze, a vinous quality, and some dark fruit.
T: Tasted of a lot of malt (present throughout), a good shot of the vinous quality (more than expected), a lot of booze (quite powerful), a bit of dark fruit (plums, perhaps?), and a lot of hops (a big factor). Like the aroma, the flavor here is big and bracing. It's also fairly complex and pretty flavorful. The inclusion of the vinous quality manages to work.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: If you like boozy, well-made beers, check this one out. Drinkable.
