Olde Salem Brewing Company

Stopped by before going to a concert in Salem. Large seating area with plenty of tables, staff was friendly. Selection was good and had a nice variety. Food truck in the back was very good (Cabo Fish Taco). They also have a good amount of outdoor seating. I'd definitely visit again if in the Salem area.

 

Large store front taproom located in the heart of downtown. Place had a bit of an old time saloon feel, Center double doors, large stand-up bar on opposite wall. two dozen tables on the floor, and a n additional room in the back set up Oktoberfest style. 15 beers on tap, the one I had was quite nice. BYOF or have delivered.

I had a short visit to the brewery and taproom in Salem, VA recently and plan to return soon to get a better feel for things. Only had a bit of time to spend before a commitment elsewhere, had a flight of 1 stout and 3 IPA style beers, they were all pretty good. The facility is beautiful, we were there midday so it was a little slow but I can see it busying up quite a bit at more appropriate times of day. Plenty of indoor seating with a nice outdoor patio out back. Gorgeous finishes throughout the taproom and a nicely laid out brewing operation on the way out the back door to the patio. Well worth a visit if/when nearby or visiting Salem!
