Day 6 of the 2019 Calendar.
Great label (shellacked onto the bottle). The description on the back-- could they have used a tinier font?-- is mysterious. "Peated and Chocolate Malts" "Gloomy Brown" colour.
There was a lot of foam on this-- a bit too much, really-- but it was tight, and tan in color.
Definitely a hint of smoke on the nose.
Chocolate malt flavor, for sure. Some nice bitterness but with an indistinct hop flavor. A touch of smoke, but not off-outting in any way.
Really nice, overall, and if you are snacking on something salty (as I was) then the sweetness gets amped up just a bit, which was nice.
