330 mL, green glass bottle, capped. "Best by" date stamped on the cap. Purchased in Kamakura, Japan. 500 Yen.
This lager poured a clear, dark coffee brown with creamy tan foam that settled and left some lace on the glass. The smell was smokey caramel malt with a bit of a medicinal aroma. The taste was slightly smokey caramel malt, some hops, a phenolic taste, and a somewhat bitter finish at the back of the tongue. The mouthfeel was dry and crisp, with medium body and low carbonation feel, but with an unusual aftertaste. This beer was OK, but I would not go out of my way for another.
