Had this on tap at Popeye in Ryogoku, Tokyo. Poured into a snifter. Bubbly white head that subsides above a murky brown brew. Sweet fruity smell without much hops. Aromas of cherry present but not overpowering. Pretty hazy lacing that lines the inside of the glass at the finish. Overall, a decent barleywine, but not one to compete with other Japanese legends.
