Darker than the Badlands at midnight, smoother than a fleece blanket in January, this chocolate milk stout reminds you what it was like to dive into a decadent oversized chocolate bar as a child. Easy to drink, easier to please, kind on the eyes. At 5.9% ABV, this milky smooth sweet stout begs to be sipped and pushes over the competition. Fair warning though, this beer contains lactose sugar and should be avoided by those so unfortunately intolerant to that creamy sweet milk sugar.

Remedy Brewing Cow Tippah Chocolate Milk Stout, 6.3% ABV, 39 IBU. The ABV and IBU noted on the can differ from their website. Pours black and medium viscosity, with a one finger tan head. Nose is lactose and strong chocolate/cocoa. Taste follows with a notable sweetness, and a slight bitter close. Excellent mouthfeel, decent carbonation, and smooth. Overall outstanding.

Nice dark brown pour. Beautiful creamy looking 2 finger tan head. The head retention is long lasting, and there's nice lacing on the glass.
Very minimal nose, just slight faint chocolate.
Taste- some chocolate. Some lactose. Some bitter, some licorice. Not sure it works.
Thinner body.
I love a good milk stout. This isn't a good example of one, sadly.

16 oz single can, canned on 9/18/20 into Parish Teku.
Has a rooty slick black body with some medium brown in there. Has a khaki colored head of 2 fingers, creamy and stable for the most part, receding gradually to 1 finger, leaving thick lacing as it recedes.
Aroma is that of a typical dirty/earthy milk stout, with some ashiness and dry cacao, along with roasted malt and/or coffee, and lactose. Very slight black licorice/spice.
Flavor is like walking through a duststorm. A ridiculous amount of dry dirt, wet clay, and ash, and that is 90% of the beer. It follows with perfumey and piney hops, more char, a little bit of anise, and a little bit of dried wood. That was the other 10%. On my 10th sip now to make sure I'm getting all the descriptors correct. I am walking through beer hell to describe this beer objectively. It is that awful.
Feel is medium bodied, heavily carbonated, and resinous with a medium level of alcohol. The smokiness and char can be felt in the mouth as well.
Overall, this is a shit beer. It literally tastes like burnt dirt. This is one of the worst stouts I've had, period. Come on, Sioux Falls. The over hopped aspect of this beer is not even a good type of over-hopped. It's abrasive, it's harsh, it raises the hair on your arms. The aroma was on par with a black IPA which some more piney stouts tend to have (assertive and inticingly brash but usually the taste follows through. This did not.) A total mess. I can't stress enough how poor of a stout this is. Avoid this beer at all costs.
Price paid : $2.49 / can
Would buy again : if you gave me $100 and let me dump it in front of you
