On-tap at Remedy Brewing Company, Sioux Falls, SD
A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head.
S: Light to moderate aromas of candi sugar are present in the nose along with hints of yeast.
T: The taste is mostly dominated by flavors of candi sugar (and bits of associated alcohol) along with hints of spices and yeast.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a good representation of the style. I liked the combination of candi sugar and spices.
Serving type: on-tap

5 oz pour at brewery
Hazy gold color with a fingernail of white head.
Floral and bubblegum nose with hints of clove and pepper, and more floral notes.
Flavor comes across more like a Belgian Pale Ale but has enough sweetness to yank it back into Tripel territory. Floral is the word of the day, with hints of clove and pear, slight banana, slight pepper, and lots of grassy hop.
Feel is creamy and carbonated with minor alcohol burn. I like my Tripels to burn, this one doesn't so much which isn't a big deal for some but dammit I want that alcohol burn.
Overall a fair Tripel that comes across more as a Belgian Pale Ale with clove and pear highlights. It's not gonna blow your skirt up but it's within spec and will (probably) quench your desire for a Tripel if that's your mood when you arrive at the brewery. Floral, pear, and crisp, with a minimal alcohol burn. As said, a Belgian Pale Ale.
