22 oz bomber shared from my friend Cullen. Nice wax-sealed bottle.
Raspberry, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Lactose aged in Jim Beam Bourbon Barrel.
Prairie Rastal Glass.
Deep black color with a beige head of 1 finger.
Earthy raspberries and sharp whiskey in the nose, with slight undertones of chocolate and earthy malts. Very slight vanilla.
Flavor brings sour raspberries, with some sharp whiskey flavoring, bitter dark chocolate, and very very very slight vanilla on the finish. It is definitely a unique beer, but comes across pretty shabby.
Feel is nice and creamy, with a certain slickness, and a heavy alcohol booziness. Slight dryness on the finish with additional roast.
Overall, a rather poorly crafted BA beer, drinks a lot like a raspberry sour stout with adjunct whiskey flavoring. Not too surprised here, considering our local breweries struggle quite a lot with putting out quality beers. This is one I would not revisit.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
