Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a half finger khaki head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt with light char, bakers chocolate, dry caramel and graham cracker. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, bakers chocolate, dry caramel and a touch of drip coffee in the finish. Flavor drops off a bit in the finish, but nice toasted malt and bakers chocolate aftertaste. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid toasty imperial stout with good chocolate character and some interesting light caramel notes. Flavor depth not quite as deep as I'd expect for the ABV, but that is well covered and the overall taste is pleasant. This may be an older can; it is from a small store that did not seem to have much turnover, but they had a lot of Jellyfish varieties, which was nice to see; they were all in a cooler. It appears that the ABV may have increased for this current batch, clocking in a t 9.8%.
