Hydra is a classic pilsner with a clean malt body and a crisp hoppy finish. An all-German grain bill, and additions of Czech, French and German hops give this lager a truly continental lineage! Gold medal winner at Washington Beer Awards.

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on can, but it was purchased recently at the brewery.
Appearance: light golden hue with a tiny dash of haze and a finger of frothy white foam atop. Seems legit!
Smell: a bit sweet and quite yeasty, with some nice noble hops thrown in. The yeastiness makes this not as "crisp" as I might hope, but otherwise, not bad at all.
Taste: sweetly malty, with a moderate bitterness and plenty of that yeast character from the aroma. And like the aroma, it's not bad, but it's not as crisp as I'd like it to be.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a really smooth creaminess; surprisingly creamy for the style. I like it!
Overall: not a bad German pilsner, but it's a tad yeasty and lacks the crispness I want.
