Taster at Abolitionist. Hazy golden pour, thin silky head, spotty lacing. Aroma is a balance of caramel and citrus. Taste is subtle, a bit bready, a bit hoppy, latent bitterness.

Tap
Pours hazy amber golden. White film for a head retains indefinitely.
Aroma of bready biscuit malts, citrus and herbal hops.
Flavor is of bready malts with orange zest, floral herbal notes, and grapefruit hops. Piney bitter finish.
Medium to full body with fluffy carbonation.
Pretty good IPA, kind of a mix of hazy and west coast characteristics. Goes down easy, feels pretty filling. Worth a try and I would drink this again.

Great old school IPA with just a hint of fruit.

16oz can into a tall glass. NO freshness dating.
Looks decent enough. Quite hazy orange/amber body. Small foamy white head persists, leaving spidery lacing.
Aroma is little musty.
On tasting, simcoe knocks out citra with an uppercut. There is still a light citrus grapefruit note, but it's not getting up for the next round. There is a long lasting strong bitterness. Malt base barely holding up.
Mouth closer to full than medium, finish bitter, though with an initial light sweetness that soon gets hammered down.
Overall, a pretty aggressive west coast ipa. I like it, but one a session would be enough.

Lasting, near-white head with excellent spotting on the glass. The liquid is nearly clear with a lighter gold color.
The smell features a raw barley malt nose with a good dollop of yeast spice.
Well-carbonated with a neutral IPA flavor—definitely in American IPA (more west coast) style. Strong hop bite. Neutrally bitter but it gives a long aftertaste. Relatively thin body. The malt base is dry with a touch of astringency. Overall, a decent IPA entry and far better than I was initially expecting.

Smell - super fruity super tropical! All galaxy!
Taste - slightly bitter easy going tropical, slight mango pineapple grapefruit
Feel - medium body light carbonation
Overall - fantastic session. Could use slightly less bitterness and more carbonation

For a Citra hopped IPA, this one lacked the fruity aroma and flavor, but in its place was an intensly bitter IPA. Drinkable for hardcore/old school IPA drinkers but not very accessable to a wider audience.
