Near black color where light passes along the edge. Lasting beige head which leaves nice streaks and spots on the glass.
The smell is of warm cream and semisweet chocolate. No coffee. I get some notes of background white pepper.
Thinner body with an elevated carbonation level. The flavor is neutral throughout the tasting. The black patent malt does its job without fuss or interest . Darker malt finish. Overall, a good beginners stout.
