12.7oz bottle into a tall glass. NO freshness dating
Looks decent enough in the glass. Jet black body. Small tan head quickly shrinks to a faint ring. No lacing.
Aroma of molasses, with some faint booze and an even fainter metallic note.
On tasting, the bourbon is very restrained, which I normally appreciate. There are some molasses, cant help but think that some coffee or chocolate notes would have added a lot to this beer.
Mouth around medium, finish seems to add some licorice notes.
Overall, fairly complex beer with flavors popping up as it warms.
