Appearance - Pours a dark amber with two fingers of frothy off-white head.
Smell - spicy earthy and leafy hops, clove, pepper, coriander, banana, and other fruity esters, bready malts, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - spicy earthy and leafy hops upfront. The clove, pepper, coriander, banana, and other fruity esters are there but are quite mild compared to the aromas. The bready malts and spicy earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with all elements lingering.
Overall - An engageable dunkelweizen that delivers on the aroma. The flavours are quite mild which is a tad disappointing considering the aroma was spot on. Still, a respectable brew and the artwork on the can is quite "demonish".
