Issue # 31.
A pumpkin sour. Not appropriate to classify it as a pumpkin beer.
Appearance - Pours a very cloudy deep yellow with three fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - nutmeg, pumpkin, spicy brett yeast, sour aromas, cinnamon, clove, and earthy, floral, and leafy hops.
Taste - spicy brett yeast and funk followed by the sourness. The nutmeg, pumpkin, clove, and cinnamon come through next. The earthy, floral, and leafy hops round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes tart with the pumpkin spices lingering.
Overall - A unique twist to the wild ale style by adding pumpkin to the brew. It was quite easy to drink but I wish the pumpkin to sour ratio was tending towards more on the pumpkin side and less on the sour side but nonetheless a unique experiment and another first for me.
