Pepper beers - divisive clearly - but if you like hot pepper beers this is a winner.
Pours a slightly less than clear copper with creamy finger of white head.
There is some caramel malt on the nose, but overpowered by tropical fruit, floral hop, mango, pineapple, and certainly a note of verdant pepper.
Hits the palate with a brief malty sweetness - caramel, slightly vegetal, pineapple, tropical fruit and the flavour of the pepper, and that green hop bitterness. The pepper spice starts at the periphery but builds nicely to a steady pleasant heat.
Smooth solid medium mouthfeel with a really nice mix of malt sweetness and verdant bitterness accented with that habanero heat. Nice.

Issue # 32.

Appearance - Pours a light amber with four fingers of frothy white head.

Smell - citrus, tropical, and floral hops, pineapple, hint of pepper, peach, papaya, mango, apricot, bready malts, and earthy yeast.

Taste - citrus, tropical, and floral hops upfront. The brew then goes into the pineapple and a nice punch from the haberno pepper. The peach, papaya, mango, and apricot follow suit. The bready malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops, fruits, and haberno heat lingering.

Overall - A bold and flavourful IPA that delivers on all fronts. I like how the haberno pepper sneaks in the brew to let you know that there is some heat to the brew. Good stuff indeed!
