Issue # 32.
A peach gose with smoked salt.
Appearance - Pours a hazy apricot with two fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - peach, wood smokiness, coriander, biscuity malts, lemon, salt, earthy and floral hops, and earthy yeast.
Taste - peach upfront then quickly goes into the wood smokiness, coriander, and salt. The biscuity malts, lemon, earthy and floral hops follow suit. The earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes tart with the salt and wood smokiness lingering .
Overall - A unique gose that utilizes all ingredients very well. The smoked salt doesn't overpower the peach and other elements of this brew but actually compliments the brew by making it a true stand out. Some, however, may feel the smokiness dominates based on palate but to me it's a highly sessionable and flavourful brew!
