A mint gin gose.
Issue # 41.
Appearance - Pours a ginger gold with three fingers of foamy white head.
Smell - mint, earthy botanicals, juniper berry, biscuity and bready malts, lemon, earthy and floral hops, and earthy yeast.
Taste - mint, lemon, and saltiness upfront. The earthy botanicals and juniper berry are lost in translation due to the pungentness from the mint, lemon, and saltiness. The earthy and floral hops and biscuity and bready malts come through next. The earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes slightly tart with the mint and salt lingering.
Overall - A brew that displayed the gin elements well in the aroma but got lost when it came to the taste. Its as if a mojito and a gose had a baby. Still crushable and refreshing but it was just missing that gin and juniper berry in the flavour.
